Tooth Gems
A tooth gem is a semi-permanent adornment for your teeth, typically a crystal or gold design, that is affixed to the tooth using dental adhesive!

Tooth gems are a fun and fashionable way to add a little sparkle to your smile. Whether you're into bold self-expression or just want a subtle shimmer, these tiny gems are a popular cosmetic trend that lets your personality shine through.
I offer only the highest quality materials—lead-free, non-toxic crystals and 14k gold charms—specifically designed to be safe for oral use.
How Long Do They Last?
The longevity of your tooth gem depends on a few personal factors, including your saliva’s acidity, diet, oral hygiene habits, and even the placement and size of the gem.
Crystals typically last 4 months to 1 year (sometimes longer!)
Gold charms generally last 1 to 3 years
If you ever want to remove your gem, no problem! It can easily be taken off by a dental professional without damaging your tooth. If you do not have your gem removed, it will eventually fall off and will sometimes leave foil backing or adhesive residue, this can also be quickly removed at a dental cleaning. In the rare case that your gem falls off and is accidentally swallowed, it will pass naturally. All materials I use are non-toxic and lead-free, so they are safe for your body.
The Application Process
The procedure is quick, safe, and completely non-invasive—no drilling required. I use a dental-grade etch and adhesive to bond the gem securely to your tooth, and an LED light to cure it in place. It’s the same technique dentists use to apply braces.
You might feel the gem at first, but most people adjust to it within a few days.
Important Considerations
Tooth gems are a great option for many, but there are a few things to keep in mind:
Clear aligners (like Invisalign or Smile Direct): Unfortunately, these won’t fit properly over a gem, so we do not recommend getting one while using them.
Wire retainers or night guards: Please bring them to your appointment so we can place the gem in a spot that won’t interfere with your appliance.
Artificial teeth: Tooth gems can not be applied to crowns, veneers, caps, or dentures—they bond only to natural tooth surfaces.
